The City Government of Valenzuela in coordination with DOLE-CAMANAVA Field Office spearheaded a learning session on November 14, 2019, held at Valenzuela City Hall to capacitate and strengthen employers in the area on matters related to labor standards as well as labor relations.
Said activity aims to transform them into compliant, viable and productive enterprises, giving them competitive edge not only locally but also in the global arena. Further, the activity was also among the flagship programs of Valenzuela City local chief executive Rex Gatchalian as he envisioned a highly progressive, sustainable and competitive enterprises in the area. The City also received the Hall of Fame award for being the Most Business Friendly – Highly Urbanized City by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry because of its dedication in delivering fast and best services for its citizens, particularly in the business community.
The activity was attended by various employers’ organizations, government employees and other concerned stakeholders. Also present was Councilor Ramon Encarnacion who heads the City of Valenzuela’s Worker’s Affairs Office.
RTWPB-NCR Board Secretary Kim S. Lagcao and Supervising Labor Employment Officer Merlita R. Cas were among the invited resource speakers to discuss the Wage and Workplace Productivity.
Wage Board’s various productivity training programs through the Productivity Toolbox was also showcased to encourage MSMEs in the area to avail of the said training opportunities provided by the Board.
